Our Standards for Installer Vetting
MCS Certification (Mandatory)
Every installer in our network holds current MCS certification. This is a legal requirement for accessing the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and Smart Export Guarantee. MCS also requires installers to follow MIS 3002 (solar) or MIS 3005 (heat pump) standards for system design and yield estimation.
Insurance & Liability Cover
All installers must carry public liability insurance and professional indemnity cover. We verify these documents before any installer is admitted to our network.
Customer Review Threshold
Installers must maintain a minimum average review rating and volume of verified customer reviews. We remove installers who fall below our service standards.
RECC Compliance
Our network installers operate under the Renewable Energy Consumer Code, which provides additional consumer protection including a dedicated dispute resolution service.
How We're Paid (And Why It Stays Free For You)
We operate on a pay-per-completed-job model. When a homeowner we referred has their installation completed, the installer pays us a referral fee. This fee is factored into the installer's business model — it does not inflate your quote.
